Hey! I’m Caitlin Tills. Originally from Massachusetts, I recently relocated to Santa Clarita, CA. I love to write about food & health, and I’m inspired by the things I’ve picked up doing hands-on horticultural work in the field. I’ve been passionate about the local food movement for about 10 years, and I’ve done a lot of digging so you don’t have to. (See what I did there?)

My passion for working outdoors has brought me to some pretty cool places and people. I volunteered through WWOOF, working at Sweden’s first CSA and an exotic fruit orchard on Kauai. Biggest avocados I’ve ever seen! I’ve worked as a fine gardener, a cannabis cultivator, and a farm worker, too. Basically, any job that gets me working with plants: I’m in.

I'm finishing a BA in English Literature and Criticism at UMass Dartmouth, where an essay of mine placed 2nd in a department-wide competition.
